Leap Poised to Shake Up APAC Events Following Brand Update

Event Technology Provider formerly known as Ticketbooth has expanded across APAC with a suite of next-gen event applications

Leap Event Technology is proud to today announce a major expansion across APAC, growing both its reach and its offering while setting out an energised vision for the future of live events.

Following the rebrand of Ticketbooth, the Australian business now operates fully under the global Leap brand. The change combines over a decade of local market experience with Leap’s global event technology.

This evolution sets Leap up to reshape how events are run across the region, committing to end-to-end delivery and the technology that takes events further.

Central to the announcement is the launch of a connected suite of event technology that covers the full event lifecycle. Through this, Leap will deliver next-generation ticketing, event apps, attendee engagement, convention management, marketing and analytics together under one provider.

For years, Australian organisers have managed events across several disconnected platforms, handling ticketing, registration, attendee engagement, apps and onsite operations through separate providers. The result is duplicated work, fragmented attendee experiences and missed revenue.

Leap brings these functions into one connected ecosystem. With Leap, organisers will now be able to gain richer attendee data and new commercial opportunities through mobile apps, sponsorship inventory, engagement tools and data-led marketing, while reducing the operational load of running several systems at once.

The Leap suite spans:

  • Ticketing, across both professional and DIY (TicketLeap) platforms
  • Event apps, giving organisers a direct channel to attendees and a new asset to offer sponsors
  • Attendee engagement, from fan experiences to onsite activations
  • Convention and event management for conferences, exhibitions and multi-session events
  • Marketing and analytics, including data-led campaigns and post-event measurement
  • Lead capture, connecting exhibitors and sponsors with attendee data

The company already works with organisers across festivals, music, conventions, agricultural shows, arts and culture, sports and exhibitions, including Supanova, St Kilda Festival, the Art Gallery of South Australia and Taste of Summer.

Leap Event Technology General Manager for APAC Jess Attwood said while Ticketbooth had built a strong reputation in Australia as a trusted ticketing provider, Leap would take that legacy further.

“Ticketbooth has already earned its reputation in Australia as a trusted ticketing partner, and becoming Leap allows us to take that to the next level. We’re helping organisers rethink the entire event experience – how they sell, how they engage audiences, how they understand attendees and how they create new revenue streams.

It’s about combining our local knowledge and relationships with Leap’s global experience and technology, giving organisers a connected platform and team to help them grow and deliver better experiences.

“We are helping organisers rethink the entire event experience, how they sell, how they engage audiences, how they understand attendees and how they open new revenue streams,” she said.

Leap’s expansion comes as organisers face rising costs and growing expectations from audiences, sponsors and partners. The organisation is betting that the next phase of the industry provides an opportunity to organisers who can connect ticketing, audience data, mobile engagement, onsite experience and marketing into a single operating model.
